Did You Say It?

"Did you say it?
I love you?
I don't ever want to live without you.
You changed my life... did you say it?
Make a plan.
Set a goal.
Work toward it, but every now and then, look around.
Drink it in.
'Cause this is it.
It might all be gone tomorrow." --Meredith Grey

Still contemplating and processing the season ending cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers on Grey's Anatomy. It was sad. But true. Everything that Meredith said in those final, devastating minutes of the show is something that has been on my mind for some time.

Live your dreams. Seize the moment. Follow your path. Do it now, because you never know when it might be too late.

As sad as the whole idea of losing George and Izzy may be, I can't help but think that it's such a wonderful idea. The thought that when the time comes that the one person who loves you the most and knows you better than anyone else will step on that elevator with you. Or be there to greet you. And take your hand. And walk down the path to whatever comes next so that you are not alone.

On a show that concerns itself with science and logic and the dilemmas that we face in careers as caretakers, it was definitely a contemplative look at what really matters most in life.

Probably gonna need the rest of the weekend to know how I really feel about all these feelings that the story exposed.
